About Primrose Gardens

Primrose Gardens Extra Care Village is an exciting and innovative Chorley Council led, corporate strategy project which is part of the strategic masterplan for the town centre. It is a retirement village which will provide those aged 55 and above with an independent living space with access to care and support. In collaboration with Lancashire County Council, the two will deliver the scheme to meet their corporate strategies.

The retirement living space comprises 65 1 and 2 bedroom apartments over 3 storeys as well as additional facilities in the building. All floors can be accessed via stairs or lift for ease of access.

The extra care village at Primrose Gardens hopes to reduce social isolation amongst the elderly by offering an independent living space with access to care and support if needed.

The extra care village is replacing a car park and a St John Ambulance Hall which both Dance with Passion and Anita Murray School of Dancing used. To accommodate the Dance schools, a dance hall will be included within the development.
